Larry Summers
Ph.D. Student
Mr. Summers has over 14 years of transportation engineering and planning experience that spans both the private and public sectors. Through his consulting work, he worked with states, counties, municipalities, and tribal governments to improve their public infrastructure. In the public sector, he expanded his horizons into transportation planning as well as construction administration. Having worked for Louisville Metro, he brought the knowledge of an established engineering department within a large city to the City of New Albany. Mr. Summers is currently managing over $30 million worth of projects spanning sanitary sewer improvements, stormwater collection and detention projects, federal aid roadway projects, signal improvement projects, and paving. Mr. Summers is currently pursuing a Master's degree at UofL and plans to move into the Ph.D. program.
