Transportation Safety in Kentucky
Our team performs a variety of research related to transportation safety. This research relates both to causal factors and to data linkage. Our aim is to propose planning-level insights to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to improve data quality and completeness, link motor vehicle crash data to other systems, assess programmatic performance of treatments, and deliver actionable findings.
Our team has expertise working with data from the motor vehicle crash databases, emergency medical response, and trauma registries. By linking these multi-sourced data together, we can develop insights to reduce the frequency of severe crashes through the core elements of the safe systems approach.
Thank you to our partners at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the Kentucky Board of EMS, and University of Kentucky.
